What type of shirts do you use?

Our “basic” t-shirts used are Gildan.  However, we have wholesale accounts with all major manufacturers (American Apparel, Alstyle, Anvil, Alternative, Pro Club, Hanes, Bella, etc, etc, etc.)

Do Dark shirts cost more?

Yes.  Dark shirts are more expensive to buy blank, and they require an underbase to make most colors opaque. The image on the left shows 1 swipe, 2 swipes and 3 swipes of white ink. Think about coloring a red wall. You have to add a primer to change it’s color. Same concept with screen printing. A red shirt will need a underbase to make it have green ink.

How can I keep my cost down?

• Fewer print locations
• Print the artwork with fewer colors
• Pick more economical shirts
• Request a single swipe of ink
• Pick a light shirt with dark ink
