Yes. Dark shirts are more expensive to buy blank, and they require an underbase to make most colors opaque. The image on the left shows 1 swipe, 2 swipes and 3 swipes of white ink. Think about coloring a red wall. You have to add a primer to change it’s color. Same concept with screen printing. A red shirt will need a underbase to make it have green ink.
